That’s us there at the arrow on the left. Last night Hubby decided he would postpone the trip to Tennessee to visit The Mother after all. He said he couldn’t in good conscience leave me to deal with the aftermath, if there is any. He’s such a good man. I told him to go because we’re more than 50 miles inland. I hope it’s mostly going to be much needed rain, not the wind. At any rate, the fun for us has just now started. It’s raining softly as I pen these words. The wind is steadily increasing. The air is feeling oppressive. There’s a slight apprehension in the air. It’s suppose to get really “interesting” by 2 PM today. We might lose power, which is not an issue since we’ve been blessed with a 16K generator. I just pray we don’t lose telephones and internet again (I’m looking at you Alma Telephone). Oh, well, at least I do like to sit quietly and read and we do have ‘smart phones’. We won’t be completely cut off.
Prayers for all in the path of this monster storm. Y’all stay safe. I’ll be checking in again later for those who may be interested. Thank you for your love and concern.
