Dippy Little Hippie

Well, the bursitis in my right hip has returned. With a vengeance. 😦 The cortisone shot didn’t ‘take’. Since I’ve had three of them in a short period of time, I’m not allowed anymore for a long time (too dangerous, so I’m told). So, I was a good girl this time and didn’t just endure the pain. Hoping it would go away. I called the Orthopedic Doctor right away. They’re setting me up for an MRI in preparation for surgery. It may take a week or so to get all the preparatory stuff done before going forward. That’s OK. I’m not unhappy. I know that I’m in good hands. All is right with the world. 🙂 I’m sure this is everyone’s wish for their lives too, but I’m just wishing we could stop spending money on medicine and procedures. But, it could be worse … couldn’t it ….

(LOVE that movie!)
Stay tuned sports fans.

        1. The bursa in my right hip will be removed. This will be the second time I’ve had it done. (What weird is they grow back! Yeah, like a lizards tail.) It started with a terrible tumble I took in the yard in the early 2000’s. I had landed on my right side on a slab of cement at full force. That caused the Thoracic Outlet Syndrome, the broken / irritated bursa, etc. that’s all been on the right side. I feel blessed. It could have been a LOT worse! ❤

            1. Yes and yes. 🙂 Unfortunately, when the shots, ice, therapy don’t work, surgery is the only relief one can get with bursa irritation. It will grow back (who knew!?) so that I can walk unaided and I’ll be fine for a few more years. Possibly for good this time. [fingers crossed] One can only pray that will be so. Thanks so much! Hope your day is blessed with joy my friend.
