As many of y’all may, or may not, know I’m adopted. At the tender age of 2 days I was whisked away from my biological family to live with strange people in a strange place. (OK, they weren’t that strange.) What my true ancestry is has weighed heavily on my heart since I learned of this event when I was 10 years old. I did find my birth-mother, who was already deceased, and all her kith and kin, but the birth-father equation has always been a “maybe”. More on that subject another day.
Fast forward to modern times with all our cool wiz bang technology.
Finances being what they may, I’ve decided the time was right to get my ancestry analysed.
The kit came today! It involves spitting a certain amount of liquid into a nice little vile, then popping it into a sanitary sleeve with stabilizing fluid for mailing. Easy peasy. 🙂 Now, I guess we’ll all have to wait 6-8 weeks to see who I’m truly a spittin’ (lol) image of.
Do I look more like the Mom or the Dad, I wonder?
Wish me luck. 🙂
How exciting Sparky!! Joe and I both did the DNA through Ancestry and we have loved continuing to get results and find cousins we didn’t know existed. Please keep us posted!!

That’s exciting! Oh my goodness, I needed to hear that! I’ve been concerned that I’m just wasting my time and money (again). Thanks. ❤
