Cassia fistula

golden cassia 17 NOV 2018

The Cassia fistula I planted this past Summer is finally blooming. It’s not real showy yet, hopefully next year it will produce more. Here’s a little about the plant from Wikipedia:

Cassia fistula, known as the golden rain tree, canafistula and by other names, is a flowering plant in the family Fabaceae. The species is native to the Indian subcontinent and adjacent regions of Southeast Asia. Wikipedia

We’re heading out to the Church with others to pack boxes to be distributed next week for Thanksgiving. It’s a culmination of the efforts of Heaven Saints Motorcycle Club and FAITH Riders Turkey Run we had earlier in the month to raise money to feed those less fortunate. These boxes will contain, hopefully, all the essentials for someone without much means to have a happy Thanksgiving. Pray for us that God is glorified, people saved, and joyful memories are made in His name. Thanks. “To God be the glory, great things He hath done …

I feel so blessed to be a part of this! I hope your day is blessed too.

  1. that is a gorgeous plant and wonderful color!
Love how you’re helping those in need. They say “it’s better to give than to receive” and I think it’s because it feels so good to give……two people feel good! You give TWICE 🙂

    1. Yeah, it’s still green here. We’re expecting a frost tonight, so, the green may be gone after that. I just mowed to clear off all the fallen leaves. Right now, everything looks nice. ❤
