What A Friend We Have In Jesus

matthew 11 28

Something wonderful just happened to me and to our family!!

As I hung up the phone a moment ago, it felt like I had just had a personal conversation with the Holy Spirit. Today, after I don’t know how many years of estrangement, there seems to have been a reconciliation between my husband’s sister and myself. It took the death of their father on Wednesday to bring it about. It reminds me of what happened after my own poisonous father died in 2006. Standing in the Sunday School class a few years after it happened, something inside me “snapped”, all the anger, hate, and ill feelings seemed to simply fade away and I felt a wash of the Holy Spirit. Suddenly, all dad’s venom, hateful words and cruelty have been replaced by my Holy Father’s kindness, love and forgiveness. I felt like He had drained the puss from all the mental wounds after dad’s passing. The same thing apparently has happened for my dear sister-in-law. I know the scars will always be there for both us (not against each other, but what our parents did to us) but I pray we may we use those scars to help others come to Christ and live more fully in His light. YOU TOO CAN BE HEALED! But it takes the love of Jesus Christ to do that. Trust Him, and He will supply all our needs.

So, God answers prayers folks! It may not be to our timing or our specifications, but HE answers prayer. When He does, it’s wonderful.

After the phone call, I remembered to fall on my knees in praise and thankfulness for His glorious works. What a privilege to carry everything to God in prayer.

Thank you for letting me share this with y’all. I pray your day is blessed and special too.

proverbs 15 30

May the God of hope fill you with all joy and peace as you trust in him, so that you may overflow with hope by the power of the Holy Spirit.” [Romans 15:13]

For God so loved the world that He gave His one and only Son, that whoever believes in Him shall not perish but have eternal life.” [John 3:16]

Sparky, please pray for my situation; I can’t go into it but would love to have another sweet heart praying that things WORK OUT! Thanks so much. xxx

  2. I was singing…

What a friend we have in Jesus all our sins and grieves to bear
What a privilege to carry everything to God in prayer
Oh what peace we often forfeit of what needless pain we bear
All because we do not carry everything to God in prayer
Have we trials and temptations is there trouble anywhere
If we have don’t be discouraged take it to the Lord in prayer.

    Praise God!!

    1. So often I just want to quit praying for whomever or whatever, but, now I’ve seen too much of the awesomeness of God’s love and power. Prayers are answered according to His will. I’m so thankful to have had another “God moment” in my life. Such a blessing. Love & Prayers to all in your camp Ed. ❤
