Savannah Holly (Monrovia)
Our Savannah Holly‘s have finally produced berries after about 5 or 6 years of growth. I planted two of them beside the circular driveway on the “Back 40” (acres), as I laughingly call it. It’s the back part of our small acreage that is not 40 acres. 🙂 It’s my silly way of labeling things. Anyway, I was so pleased to see the plants producing so well and it was just in time for Christmas.
Speaking of doing well, Steve is improving every day. God be praised! He no longer has to put bandages on all the port holes the surgeon put into his chest and his left leg is much, much better (that’s the one that had the vein removed for the bypasses). His color is good. His speaking voice is stronger. He’s eating good. He’s walking, but still with a limp, again from the vein removal. Please keep praying for him, though, if you would, because he’s suffering from latent aches and pains from the surgery. Thank you! God answers prayer! We’ve had so many wonderful people from our Church bring food, haul us around on errands, prayed for us, asked about us, etc. There’s nothing like a loving Church family. I am so doubly blessed to not only have eternal life through Jesus Christ our LORD but to have found a Church that is truly Christian in thought and deed. Jesus loves us and wants us to be happy.
This time last year, we had a nice blanket of snow all over SouthEast Georgia. Right now, it’s 67 degrees and overcast. I’m wishing it would cool off and dry up. Our poor dirt road is an unholy mess. It’s so bumpy it rides like the surface of the moon. The good news is I think our District finally has good representation. Spoke to the new guy who took office on January 1st a few days ago, and he seems to be on the ball. We are all praying for a paved road and better representation. Like I said, God answers prayer, just in his time frame. LORD give me patience and give it to me right now! lol
I pray that y’all will have a blessed and safe day. Thank you for stopping by!
