A Response And A Lovely Gift

I heard back from FindAGrave, and I quote:

“Recently, you have continued to post derogatory comments on the Virtual Flower section, of memorials, which is violation of policy.

This is your second warning regarding violation of our Terms of Service or Community Rules. “

“Derogatory”? Bet the multi-colored hair college grad had to look up how to spell that. Then the e-mail continues with blah-blah-blah … you have to kiss our backside and grovel and we’ll reinstate your account after 30 days.

Ok, I made that last part up, but it comes across that way. 😉 For the life of me, I have no idea what they are talking about. They won’t be specific. Seems like every time I turn around someone is being offended by something and it has to be banned. *very heavy sigh* Guess what? Yeah, I’m laughing at their silliness. Guess it makes the keyboard warriors feel powerful or something to ban ‘violators’. Actually, it’s been a blessing not having to answer people’s questions, add info and find connections for them. I have oodles more time on my hands. Besides, I have another account I can use. So there! *lol*

So, onwards and upwards, if you still want to follow this Irish Rebel. 😮

Yesterday, Simply Linda‘s gifts FINALLY arrived. The gifts I shipped to her in Communist New York still have not been delivered. They were sent USPS on December 2nd! My goodness. The same type gifts that were shipped to my half-sister in central Florida arrived two days later and in perfect condition. What a farrago.

Thank you Linda and Dave for these wonderful items! The card is so pretty I’m gonna save it and use it every Christmas. We’re enjoying the Breakfast In The Finger Lakes coffee this morning, will try the Jamaican Me Crazy this afternoon and plan to use the Cranberry Jam soon. I’m told it’s very good on pork chops. We’ll have to try that. Thanks again! Love you guys bunches.

I have such thoughtful friends. Thank you everyone for reading my blog, for your prayers and for listening to me gripe a bit. What are friend’s for, right?! *lol* 😉 And aren’t we all especially glad to have a friend that will NEVER LEAVE US in Jesus!? AMEN!? He makes intercession for us to God the Father 24/7. I know I sure need Him 24/7. I’d be a hot mess without Him.

  3. Not sure what all that was about, regarding the “Find a Grave” situation. But anyway, everything is crazy this year. How sweet of Linda to send you that special coffee, etc. I hope your gifts get to her on time. I’m beginning to wonder if some things I have mailed lately are lost…I need to talk to some people and find out if they got them. I guess everyone and his brother and mother are doing so much online shopping, etc., this year that everyone is overwhelmed, but Dec. 2nd is ridiculous. I hope you have a blessed and beautiful Christmas. Jesus is the Reason for the Season, and so no matter what we can smile and be thankful for what Christ has done for us. They can’t take that away from us.

    1. It’s becoming like Nazi Germany with the cancel culture and what “triggers” those that are lost. I pray for them. What a sad world they must live in.
      As far as I know, the package STILL has not been delivered. I don’t know what else to do. It’s their sin, not mine. Hope all yours have been delivered without delay. It’s quite obvious that now many are using the virus as an excuse not to work, go to Church, go to School, etc. Shameful.

  4. I enjoy history. I enjoy doing research. Sometimes, you can get some good information about people from graveyards or confirm the existence of people and events. For that reason, I use “Find a Grave” as a vehicle for confirming something about someone from “back in the day.” I did some research a few months back and, in the process, went to “Find a Grave” to confirm a point and discovered that their information differed significantly from what I’d discovered from three other sources. I then found additional information that confirmed the three other bits, all of which illustrated that Find a Grave information was wrong — seriously wrong. So I sent the website a kind message to alert them to the fact, gave them the internet location for my other sources, and felt as if I had “done the right thing.”

    Within a day, I had the best ass-chewing I’ve ever had in the past 28 years since I left the Marine Corps. Wow. I still consult the Find a Grave site from time to time, but I give the information they provide a suspicious eye. The person who responded to my “advisory” was full of the knots: not very professional, not polite, and not appreciative.

    1. Dang, I’m so sorry that was a bitter experience. And you’re such a fine person and a true Patriot. Must have been one of the strange women on that site. I’ve had trouble with them too, even was physically threated by one once. Yeah, I laughed. “Bring it, honey, you’ll be joining your ancestors real quick.” LOL She left me alone after that. Anyway, FaG is like any other research site. Sometimes it’s not accurate, sometimes it’s not. Garbage in, garbage out, type ‘o thing.

    2. I think because Find a Grave is run by volunteers from the Mormon church. I too have found numerous mistakes and also have had a talking too…whatever, as a historian, I know research. ANYWAYS, waving to my good friend Uncle Mustang. smiles

  5. Bahawaaaaaaaaaaaaa on Find a Grave thoughts from them…I have a feeling being offended will take on a whole new meaning come 2021. Bahawaaaaaaaaaaa on commie NY–thanks about lost my coffee this morning, LOLOL. So tell me, did you like the Breakfast coffee? That is my go too coffee every morning. It leaves no after taste or heartburn etc. smiles

    1. Very nice. I really like the Jamaican one. Tastes a little like eggnog, to me. We had that one for “dessert” after the meal yesterday. YUM! Thanks again for sending all those yummies. I’ve filed ANOTHER CLAIM on the package I sent. I’m gonna send one every frickin’ day until they make the delivery.
