Sunday Stealing: A to Z

Thanks to Bev Sykes for today’s stolen questions!  Join in right HERE.
Stolen from Ned The Duck

A – Annoyance: Shutdowns, masks, rudeness, and bad drivers.
B – Bestest Friend[s]: My husband, Vicki D. and fellow blogger Just Linda (no link ’cause she has a private blog). πŸ™‚
C – Car: Nissan Frontier Pickup and Honda motorbikes. πŸ™‚
D – Day or night: I prefer daylight.
E- Easiest person to talk to?: My husband of 42+ years. πŸ’‹ Hands down.
F – Favorite Month: Actually it’s a season, from October to early January.
G – Gummy Bears or Worms: Neither. I don’t eat sugar.
H – Hair Color: Gray, now, was blonde.
I – Ice Cream: Nope. No sugar.
J – Jewelry: Pearls.
K – Kindergarten: Yes.
L – Longest Car Ride: I think it would have been the one we did from Jacksonville, Florida to Denver, Colorado.
M – Most missed person: My adopted mother, Helen Mae.
N – Number of Siblings: I’m the oldest of 7. We’re all “half” siblings as our mother had round heels. She made a mess of her life through her selfish actions for sure.
O – One regret: Just one? Golly. I have MANY. I wish I had given my heart to Jesus sooner and started learning how to live according to God’s Holy Word. My parents were not believers. I pretty much raised myself from the age of 10 on. Made so many mistakes. Knowing Christ would have changed a lot of my decisions, I think, for the better.
P- Part of your appearance you like least?: My mouth. I have skinny lips that when I’m not smiling makes me look cross. I’m not, truly. I just appear that way.
Q- Quote: “Freedom is never free.”
R – Reality TV Show: Home Town (HGTV). I enjoy watching home improvement shows even though they’re not truly “reality”. I know it’s all staged.
S – Shoe: Skechers brand. They are so comfortable!
T – Time you woke up: 6:30 am. Almost every day the same.
U – Unpredictable?: I don’t think I am, if that’s the question. I don’t understand this one. 😁
V – Vegetable you hate: Asparagus. Not a fan.
W- Worst Habits: I don’t know since I don’t annoy myself.
X – X-Rays: Yeah, had lots of these when I was so sick. ☠ I’m surprised I don’t glow in the dark.
Y – Year you were born: 1950s πŸŽ‚
Z – Zoom: If it’s that internet thing, never have, probably never will. Now if it’s driving too fast on two wheels … β‰§β— β€Ώβ— β‰¦βœŒ

Thanks for joining me!

  1. Sketchers –I wear them too. That was the best $80 I spent (ok $160- I bought 2 pairs; one black and orange and the other white). Since I am on my feet all day, they are best shoe ever. Aww thanks pal on the shout out…right back atcha…you and Steve are our bestest buddies around…and I hope I didn’t disappoint you by not moving back…I have been trying very hard ( and not succeeding) in listening to my better half. Me; BUTTTTTTTTTTT the ocean is calling…Dave, No, Linda its not… its in your head. AND around and around we go…sigh…trying to come to grips on things…and I have to say, I am probably being selfish. I know its not fair for me to feel that way.

ANYWAYS…There goes wearing the heart on the sleeve thing again…me and my big mouth and stubborness…sigh…I hope you have a beautiful day, and hey, come get your weather, I have had enough. LOLOL

    1. Nah, y’all will be happy there, I just know it. Dave has the right to live where he’s happy too. He’s a good guy and deserves good things. Besides, there is the MIL you have to take care of. That’s important! Anyway, we’ll just have to travel up and visit y’all … AGAIN. 😜 (Ν β‰– ΝœΚ–Ν β‰–)πŸ‘Œ We’ve been discussing renting a small motorhome and doing a short jaunt around Georgia to see if we like it. We’ll be taking Little Girl (Maggie) with us. I’m so attached to this little dog I can’t stand to be away from her now. Guess I’m the weird one. πŸ˜• Been having a little anxiety issues lately. SO unlike me.
I am soooo excited about your new job! They’d better be nice to ya. I’ll just leave it at that. πŸ˜‰ And still praying about the house situation. That will all work out too.
Sending Love & Prayers To You All My Friend!

    1. I know, right!? Who doesn’t like “the holidays” here in America?! And me too. Every month has something nice to contribute, well, except August – September here in SE Georgia. It gets sooooo hot here! Ugh. I hide inside during that time.
Thanks for visiting and commenting! Have a blessed afternoon. ❀

    1. And also, “Nothing in life is free except eternal salvation through Jesus Christ our LORD”. πŸ˜‰ That’s another one I use a lot.

  2. That was nice Sparky. I too, am gray and used to be blonde. I came to Christ when I was 33 years old. I wish my parents had raised me as a Christian – I too, wouldn’t have made some mistakes but then again I wouldn’t have had my sons to whom I adore. It is, what it is and I am just happy and relieved I did finally come to Him. I had many opportunities that I had declined. Finally, it worked. Never give up praying for those family or friends who are still dragging their feet. We just never know.

    1. Thanks Debby. I’m so glad you know Christ as your personal Lord & Savior and I’m glad we’ve “met”. I think this age is running out of time. That we’re really close to the Rapture of the Saints. I’m still praying for a few in my birth-family too. Forgive me for being “ugly” but I’ve given up on my adopted family. They are just too mean spirited to see it, I guess. Can’t stand being around them ’cause I like to be happy and kind and they don’t. Kindness means weakness to them and then that makes me a target for their hate. I can’t and won’t live like that anymore. :/ Well, it is what it is. πŸ™‚
Still praying for rain. We’re super dry here too. It’s a real fire hazard right now.
      Blessings. xx

  3. I didn’t know you were one of 7 kids. My hubby is the middle child of 7 and he truly is the forgotten/overlooked middle kid. His sisters (his brother passed away) rarely include him. Oh, they talk to him and say he should do this and that, but we are last to find out anything and then if we say we can’t they are mad. Our kids get treated differently from all the other nieces and nephews, too. It gets old.
Bad, impatient, rude, angry drivers are one of my big annoyances, too. I usually say that for the answer to the question, but decided to go a different way today.

    1. Gosh, sorry to hear y’all are treated that way. That’s really sad! Steve (husband) is the oldest of three. His family is so dysfunctional thanks to their father. Both his siblings are loony tunes with mean streaks. We have about zero things in common.
I should have specified, since we siblings were all adopted out of the home (Mom was unmarried), we all grew up in different homes and towns. We also have way different goals for life. I’m a worker. I’ve always paid my own way through life. I don’t care to live off the Government, smoke, drink excessively, take drugs, get tattooed nor do I have a criminal background. Almost all of them do. I do love them in Christ but from a distance. πŸ˜‰ Criminals, especially abusers, make me nervous. I would never willingly allow that kind of behavior in my home.
      Blessings. xx

  4. I enjoyed this Sparky! You have a wonderful testimony and I appreciated what you shared here. It’s amazing what God can do with our lives,
I like Home Town too, staged or not. πŸ™‚
