Our Georgia Countryside

Thank you for all the kind words, prayers and thoughts this week. 😍 Ain’t been misbehaving, so, I am much improved. Kinda my own reset. 😡 Works like a charm. Until my next moment of temporary insanity … 😜

It’s still raining β˜” like gangbusters here in Southeast Georgia. The weather has been similar to a Tropical Storm that won’t leave but “they” say it isn’t that. I’m not complaining! Not at all. Beats the stew outta the 27 years of drought we’ve had. But there’s been so much rain I’d wager we’ve had at least over 14 inches in 2 weeks to-date. Our usually high-and-dry, sandy road is now an impromptu lake. The temperatures have been really cool too. That’s very nice. I want to go for a ride so badly. My bike has been really dialed in. Handles like a dream. So, with nothing much to do inside and the road impassable on two wheels, we hopped in the pickup to drive around the countryside with a stop at our favorite coffee shop in Jesup. Above is one photo that Steve snapped of a hay baler sitting idle in a farmer’s field and below is inside the Cafe Euro.

The Angel’s Trumpet where growing wild in another farmer’s field, not too distant from our place. They were a welcome splash of color in an otherwise green field of cotton. Aren’t they lovely? If it hadn’t been raining, I might have been tempted to dig one up and take it home. I could plant it near our new “lake”. πŸ˜‚

That’s it for today. Thank you for stopping by. I hope your day is blessed, and little less rainy.

  1. So glad you are feeling better. That is a wonderful answer to prayer! Glad you got out and took a ride in the countryside, in spite of the rain and mud puddles. It’s good to get out and see the “world” after being cooped up. I know the feeling. Love the “angel trumpets”, although they look like Easter Lilies to me…Very pretty and happy flowers, happy to have an opportunity to blow their trumpets and sing! Have a great and wonderful day.

    1. I know, I thought they were Easter Lilies too, at first. Forgot to say they’re really tall. πŸ™‚ Easter Lilies are my Birth month’s flower (May). I wish they were big and showy like the Angel Trumpets.
Thanks Pamela. It is good to feel good. God be praised.
It’s after 4 PM and do you know, it’s STILL raining … I’m building an Ark. lol
      Blessings. xx

    1. The rain is wonderful but I hope it dries out a bit too. The grass is going to be up to knees if I don’t get to mow soon. lol
Hope you have a fun weekend! πŸ™‚
