This And That With A Tiny Rant

Our yard is looking so pretty this year. It’s the first time since we built the house that everything is growing so nicely without running the sprinklers. We’ve had so much rain that flooding is now an issue with Southeast Georgia but I’m not complaining. Lovin’ all this wet stuff because we’ve needed it for a long time. Our, albeit mostly minor, drought has lasted for about 27 years. This year, it appears that the drought has broken. Praise God from whom all blessings flow! My prayers and thoughts are with those on the Left Coast, though. They sure are having a terrible time. I’ve been praying along with them that it would please the Lord to send them rain. Some people are having to run for their lives ahead of all the fires. It’s terrible.

✨✨ You’ve been warned … ✨✨

I keep hearing from others how this is all going down. This business of keeping people in quarantine because they “might” or have come in contact with a coronavirus, or whatever the virus of the month is, has got to stop. It’s insane to keep doing this. Steve and I have UnitedHealth Care as a supplement along with the Medicare. UHC is driving me out of my dadgum mind with their perpetual asking us both to submit to a Home Wellness Check which includes being checked for Covid. They call. They send snail mail. They send emails. They offer a $50 bonus to submit to it. Over and over I have said, “NO NO NO!” The last phone call I slipped outta gear for a minute and opened both barrels. 😒 We are not amused. 😒 If y’all know me at all, I never talk to others this way but the little lady made the mistake of asking me if I had come in contact with anyone that has Covid and I flippin’ lost it y’all. I told her in no uncertain terms that it’s NONE OF THEIR BUSINESS. [I believe she knew I was talking in all caps … lol] Then proceeded to explain that I’m not angry with her [Southern manners do kick in after a bit] and that there is a 99% survivability rate, we both have anti-bodies, blah, blah, blah. After she stammered for a bit she dropped it. I. Have. Had. Enough. Of. Their. Communism. And I pity the next fool that calls here.

UHC probably has me on one of the Black Lists for any future calls. 😟 And that’s not referring to a person’s race, for those reading this missive that are too young to remember such terms. 😁

Now, I have to rest because I’m not accustomed to being angry anymore.

Love y’all more than my socks. I hope you know that. 💖💖

  1. Yes, we get the same calls only from Humana. They want us to wear masks in our homes when they visit, NO THANKS. You will not be allowed in my home to snoop, period. And that is all they are doing, snooping. ANYWAYS, I digress…sorry you got mad. Sending you lots of hugs.

    1. Yes, it’s SNOOPING! Wish I had thought of that word but I was so livid … unusual for me. Anyway, I also will not be sharing any of that with my personal physician, whom I adore ’cause he’s a good guy but I’m not putting him in the middle of anything. I told him that. He agreed. I miss living in America. It really feels like I’m living in Nazi Germany sometimes, you know?! sigh
      Love ya too. ❤

  2. I don’t blame you, privacy is getting away from us. I tune to 93.3 REAL TALK radio M-F . Dr. Eric Nepute is in MIssouri. A quick download. They disciuss all the evils going on. How to protect ourselves. Lots of good things. There is a conference in Colo Springs, CO this weekend. With General Michael Flynn and others talking the truth. We are about 70 minutes from the Springs. I wish we could be there. So much being pushed. Trust God, love Jesus and P R A Y !
Have a great weekend and don’t let them win. We must pray.

    1. Yes, prayer and trusting Jesus is definitely the answer! Always. I just slipped outta gear for a minute. my blushes Before Jesus filled me up with His Holy Spirit I had anger issues from an abusive past. He really totally and completely healed me: spiritually, morally, physically. All that emotional baggage I was carrying around … I’m surprised I could walk. lol Anyway, I pray this was a righteous anger ’cause this lack of privacy is getting bad. I did apologize to the little lady on the phone. It’s not her fault she’s channeling the devil’s work and I don’t blame her.
God bless y’all! Have a great weekend. Keep looking up! ❤

it’s going to get where we’re not going to be able to do ANYTHING

    1. Well, short of storming the WH for real and removing them at g-n point, I don’t know what else we can do. Apparently there are no more men in this Country who believe in fighting for our freedoms. Pity.
All we can do is pray and NOT comply with ANY bills or mandates this WH passes.
      Blessings. xx

I have to somewhat agree with you on that but, I can’t disagree with it either.

I don’t know where you stand in politics but I have to say things were looking up
when we had the RIGHT president in office, & I’m praying that he comes BACK.

  4. I don’t answer the phone when they call. Then they use a different number. I keep blocking the numbers. We have Humana, and they want to come for wellness visit too. That’s why we have doctors. We don’t need insurance people coming here too. Don’t blame you a bit. Just don’t answer the phone. So glad you are getting some rain. We had a lot earlier this week too, and it really helped our flowers and pond and everything. Now we are having some fallish weather for a few days, and I’m loving it! Please take care and don’t let anyone goad you into having a fit or something…LOL. Love ya.

    1. Guess I won’t switch over to Humana if they’re annoying too.
I thought if I answer the phone, they’ll go away. They didn’t. Guess I’ll go back to letting it ring. Might even turn the ringer off. I am so done with all this. Life has much more important things to do and take care of.
You’re right. I won’t let them goad me again. I’ll let God handle the calls. I just had to blow off a little steam.
      Blessings. xx 🙂

  5. I haven’t gotten the calls, but I am so sick of having to answer those questions every time I step into a Drs office or today when I had to take my Dad in for surgery. I do understand that they have to protect their other patients, but the questions keep coming. I told them I have to be tested for my work and I am fine, but I still had to answer the litany of questions.

    1. I understand ’cause we’re all sick of the same questions over and over looking for something that isn’t there and doesn’t amount to a hill of beans but it’s all done for control and money. Our money.
Prayers for your Dad. May he heal quickly and have no difficulties.
      Blessings. xx

  6. Wow…that’s intrusive and rather pushy. We haven’t had any of that from our insurance company. We have had to watch our daughter’s family cope recently. First, our grandson wasn’t feeling well so he had to stay home from school and get tested and get a negative result before he could go back. Both the rapid test and the longer one came back negative. He has rather bad seasonal allergies. At home he does pretty well. Send him to school where he must wear a mask all day and he turns into a giant snot machine and coughs all day because of it. It doesn’t take a genius to know it’s the mask doing it to him, but the school sent him home yesterday and demanded he be tested again. Thankfully, his doctor said no and said she’d write the school a letter that should get him back in. Meanwhile, our son-in-law hasn’t felt well all week. He isn’t allowed to go to work if he’s sick and he can’t go back without a negative test, which took 3 days…but because he couldn’t go in to work (per their rule) he lost his incentive bonus for the month and is no longer eligible to receive the year-end bonus. Nice.

    1. How sad! Gosh, I know! This is all just INSANITY and must stop! By the way, I would take the kid outta Public School. They’re not good places anymore. They’re not the schools you and I grew up with. Home school, private tutor, or private school. If my poor as church mice relatives can do it, so can anybody else. This is child abuse and it’s hurting working people.
Prayers for us all. Blessings. xx

  7. I have the same health care insurance…in fact I have the one that pays all…I have Humana prescription…they have never bothered me and I am senior citizen…horrible for you…

    1. We had Humana Way Back When. The deductibles were way too high. The surgery deductible was a killer: $6,000!! Ouch. It’s only $100 per event (that includes Emergency Room) with UHC and there’s a small cap. I just wish they’d leave me alone and quit trying to snop into my life. I’m a grown up and can decide my own health program with my Physician. Sometimes one has to pick one’s battles. lol
      Thanks for stopping by.

  8. I always love the question that they ask as to whether I am depressed, along with whether I have Black Lung disease and am still working and if this visit has anything to do with being in an accident. All in the same sentence. This too shall end. One has to believe. 🙂

    1. I know, I get the same inane questions, especially about being “depressed”. I always say No (’cause I’m not), that I’m just pissed off. lol That usually stops the questions.

      Keep looking up! 🙂 ❤

  9. Joe and I both refused those home health checks and wouldn’t answer questions on the phone. Made me crazy too. They have NO BUSINESS coming into my home or asking me to divulge private information by phone (how do I know they are who they say they are?). The calls stopped so I am on one of those lists too, I’m sure!

    1. They did finally stop?! Oh good. It’s absolutely maddening. I don’t like being cross with some innocent person but really they need to shut up and go away. I’m a grown woman and can call or visit the doctor as needed.
Speaking of which, I received yet ANOTHER snail mail from UHC saying “It’s time for your —- cancer checkup”. I tore it up and burned it. That felt so good. 😉
      Blessings. ❤
