I want one of those bumpers for my motorcycle. Think it’ll stay on? *roflol* Sorry I couldn’t resist. The diaper pin anarchists are such easy targets. They’re fun to ridicule. Babies.
The above vibrant green insect was floating around in the carport this morning during my exercises. She either wanted a good laugh or was seeking sanctuary from the birds. I assumed it was the first and escorted her from the premises.
Which lead to one of my usually pointless mind ramblings. I began thinking of how many times we use the word “bug” and each time it can mean a totally different thing.
“Ugh, I have a bug.” – The flu, a nasty sickness worse than the actual critter contemplating suicide in your cup of tea.
“A bug!!!” – The actual nasty brute in your cup of tea 5 minutes later.
“My new Bug gets 15 mpg.” – A metal death trap with 4 wheels that goes beep beep and is also a general nuisance but can still be squashed with my truck.
“That guy is really bugging me …” – The schoolyard bully that can also be squashed with my truck if the opportunity arises.
And then there’s an British version of ‘bugging’ that I won’t put here. *cough* We’ll leave that one to the imagination shall we.
Isn’t the English language grand though? I do feel sorry for foreigners trying to learn English and/or our culture. It must be so confusing.
Wednesday was ‘bug’ day for us. We both were down for the count for about 24 hours.
The bugs have been very annoying (thus the unseasonable Katydid in our carport) since it’s still as hot as August and has quit raining. Are we under a gypsy’s curse or something? Does anyone know a rain dance they could share? Please!? It’s Bike Night tonight. We’ll have to take the cage since the dirt road is now the same consistency as the Sahara desert. Having street tires on my bike makes riding in loose sand a bit unnerving.
Aw, well, I count my blessings. We’re back to desired health since the bug episode, all the bugs are outside where they belong, we don’t own any Bugs and life is running in greased grooves. So, I shouldn’t let the road bug me.
Sorry to be late. Have a good day folks.
These are the days of my life!
Where shall we go today?
Welcome to the eclectic ramblings of an avid two wheeler.
